Advent at St. Luke's
posted on: 03/12/17

Advent is a time of preparation and anticipation. Not just preparation for the celebration of Christmas but also the anticipation of the coming of Christ into the world.  Preparing for the festival means retelling the story of our faith and the important moments in the lives of those who lived it to find new meaning for each of us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.  Anticipating the coming of the Christ means seeking out Christ in every human being and serving it in the here and now.  Advent is more than just getting ready it is also being the hands of Christ at work in the world and using those hands to serve Christ.
