Episcopal Election
» Sunday, December 31, 2017

A special electoral synod will convene on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Christ’s Church Cathedral in Hamilton to elect the successor to Diocesan Bishop Michael Bird. Archbishop Colin Johnson, metropolitan of the ecclesiastical province of Ontario, will preside at the synod.

A coadjutor bishop is a person elected to assist and ultimately succeed a diocesan bishop. In September, Bishop Bird announced that he will conclude his episcopal ministry on May 31, 2018 after ten years as chief priest and pastor of the diocese. After a short transition period following the election, the coadjutor bishop will assume the responsibilities of diocesan bishop on June 1.

February 11th at 12 noon: Michael Coren will lead a discussion about how we can share our genuine faith without being an aggresive evangelical. Please join us in the Great Hall following coffee and all are welcome.

March 18th at 2:00 P.M.: Steve Paiken
host of The Agenda on TVOntario, will speak at St. Luke’s Church in Burlington. The subject of this question and answer session will be faith and media, how Christianity is perceived in media, and how we as Christians can better andfurther communicate the Gospel in the secular world of journalism.

Steve is an award-winning journalist, author, and broadcaster, who also moderated the 2006, 2008, and 2011 federal leaders debates, and the 2007, 2011, and 2014 Ontario provincial leaders debates. Steve will be interviewed by Michael Coren.

Nursery & Sunday Club

Re-Starting the Sunday Nursery
The Sunday nursery allows parents the option of having their children aged 0-3 to go to the nursery. Of course, children of any age are always welcome to stay in Church too. (If they make noises they're only fulfilling their job description and it reminds us all that this is a living Church.)
However, to provide parents with a choice we're offering a nursery in the Parish Hall, 3rd floor, during the 10:00am service.  The nursery will be staffed mostly by parents and we have several who have volunteered already. We'd like to get more volunteers so, if you're willing, please let Heather Faint know by email: heather.benson86gmailcom

Children's Focus in Church at the start of 10:00 am Sunday Service
Each Sunday our 10:00am Church service will start with a short children's focus, just after the opening hymn.  Parents, please bring your children to Church with you. The Sunday School teachers will then lead them across to the Parish Hall for Sunday School following the children's focus.
